Here I go again blogging about my own music. It’s been quite a while since I listen to any of the songs I wrote. The statistics at The Internet Archive – Community Audio is a welcomed surprise. This is also a premier blog post using Bit.ly Pro’s custom domain. So 1 day after 65 years of Indonesia, I’m in a old and new mood

Starting off the list is a song I wrote when I was able to partly let go of someone but yeah, still wishing for something. The song is titled Kembalilah. Sung by Ina and recorded using my beloved PC named Gia. Nowadays when I listen to this song, Malaysia and my first apartment room there flashed into my mind. Those were the days lol. The song got over than 1300 downloads.

This next song is a sequel of a previous song in my second community audio post. She gave me hope and more importantly she reminded me that I am capable of Love. The song title is Amazingly You. She is and always has been a figure I inspire from. It’s true, love can and will make you do things you never thought before you can. Love yourself, love her and love Him. Specifically for this song, there were no statistics yet, I just uploaded it

My third on this list is a song that meant a lot for Ina. She was experiencing the lyrics at the time. The title of the song is Mendua. Well I’m happy to say, she’s one of the luckiest and the happiest married couple in earth Bottomline, make a choice, that’s just what life is all about anyways It got exactly 11 square downloads.

For the last song, this is a masterpiece of both myself and Ina. This song is universal in it’s truest meaning of love. We dedicate this song to our beloved Grandpa. By his examples, we understood a whole lot of things in life. He is one of the finest people I have ever had the privilege to know. With this song, his legacy is continued throughout the years. The title is My Dear One and it raked over than 3300 downloads.

Community Audio – Music – Part 2

On to the next part of Community Audio a.k.a my own music hosted at The Internet Archive. Most of the song I wrote are hosted over there while still there are other hosted at Myspace and iLike. Looking at the statistics, The Internet Archive is a clear winner, offering access to larger crowds.

One of my favorite song is “My Good Friend“. I remembered when writing this song, I was just fooling around with my guitar and my cousin Ina came from out of nowhere and she just started to sing along. In the end we came up with a song that is spontaneous and honest. The song had over than 750 downloads.

Another song I wrote out of spontaneity is “Dirimu Ada”. Utin a friend of me and Ina’s had a collection of poems she shared with us. When we scanned through the poems, we fell in love with this particular poem. It’s a song about longing your beloved and also about gratitude towards to that person. Thank you Lord for friends and family The song got over than 450 downloads.

Now comes to a song I wrote first before any other songs Well it’s a happy yet gloomy song. Yes it’s about love. Broken but strong. I went from Kuala Lumpur – Singapore – Kuala Lumpur – Singapore – Kuala Lumpur to give this particular song to someone. Now we’re friends like never before, learned a lot about love. The song is titled “As Good As It Gets” Everytime I listen to it, I get giggles lol. Sung by Angel, I’m on guitars. Downloaded over than 1100 times.

The last song of this part is titled “Inside of You“. Dedicated to someone I have loved with every beat of my heart. Written on the first few weeks we were together. The first song I wrote to her and still have more to be written into more songs. My apologies for the audio quality, I recorded it using a cell phone Not much downloads, 39 to be precise but this song meant a lot to me. Sung by me while playing my guitar.

It’s been more than 5 years since I uploaded my first Creative Commons Licensed music now referred as Community Audio at archive.org. Bottom-line, looking at the statistics, I was in smiles The Internet Archive is more accessible to the mass it reads.

There’s this song that I feel is in tune with #StartupLokal hehehe. When I wrote the song, I was on a transitional phase. The song is titled “Ain’t Sorry” and it was sung by my cousin Ina. The song had more than 1200 downloads It’s a brave song and I’m grateful a self-development NGO in the USA is using the song in one of their trainings, something I did made some difference in the world, be grateful! Another song that surprised me was “Adalah Satu“. This was not an easy song. My best friend handed me a piece of paper with lyrics he wrote to express his feelings about his relationship at the moment. It was tough because I knew what he is going through. Anyways, this song raked in over than 1400 downloads. Vocals by me and Utin with Ina as backing vocals and piano.

“Heaven Sent” is a song I wrote from one of my old friend Suz’s poems. The most meaningful lyric line for me is “Flowers once again bloom to die, only to bloom again and again in another dimension of LOVE..” Thanks Suz, it’s an inspiration. I was in guitar and vocals for this song.

For this last song of the night “Dialah“, I didn’t know it’ll be the most downloaded at over than 4600 downloads. Thank you all for downloading! Actually this song is right at the edge of average. The typical surviving a heartbreak lyrics. Well that relates exactly to all of us right? I don’t believe there’s anyone in this God given earth have never had a heartbreak at least once. The song was sung by Ina, I was in guitars.
